Chase cards?

Chase cards?

If I apply for both the Sapphire and the Freedom in the same day does that only count as one hard inquiry on my credit? I could have sworn I read that somewhere, but I would just like to check and confirm with everybody here first. Thanks for the help.

That used to be the case, but I’m pretty sure Chase doesn’t combine inquiries anymore. @Gaurav will know better.

I usually go with Doctor of Credit and it seems like they still combine them, just not for business and personal applications. Just be aware that Chase has become much more strict about issuing UR earning card. I assume you are familiar with the 5/24 rule?

Yes I’m familiar with the 5/24 rule. Ive only had two new credit card applications in the last 24 months. Just wondering if I should apply for both in the same day or spread the applications out.

The cards are different enough that you could make a reasonable case for wanting both. I’d probably apply same day if I was going to apply for both within a few days anyway.

Also, just FYI, chase reconsideration lines are closed for the next few days.
