Chase Bonvoy Card not Giving Marriott Bonus category for hotel stay

Chase Bonvoy Card not Giving Marriott Bonus category for hotel stay

    Hi All,

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere but i couldn’t find it. I have the Chase Bonvoy Boundless card and recently completed 3 stays at the Prince Gallery (Luxury Collection) in Tokyo. Looking at my statement, i only got the standard 2 points per dollar rather than the 6 for Marriott properties.

Is this something I can take up with Chase or with my Ambassador? I know that issuers dont take responsibility for how establishments are classified (in cases of dining/travel) but this seems a little different. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

If you have a good ambassador, I’d absolutely start there since they probably have the ability to offer goodwill bonus points to rectify.
