Changes to Saphire Reserve travel bonus?

Changes to Saphire Reserve travel bonus?

Curious to your thoughts that Chase is changing the travel benefit for the Reserve card.

Currently, you receive a $300 travel credit if you spend $300 (or more) on the card. You also receive 900 Ultimate Reward points for the $300 initially spent. (3X points for travel).

My understanding is that Chase is eliminating those 900 points you receive for travel but will only get the $300 travel credit back.

I agree with his thought process that you’re essentially losing around $13 of value from the CSR card each year now, by not earning those 900 points. Personally, my break-even on having the card is so far past $13 a year for me, that this is a non-issue.

    Hope that helps!
