Anonymous GuestMy husband and I both have the sapphire preferred. His annual fee is due. I am wondering if I should cancel his card and have him apply for the new sapphire with the100k bonus. Does chase look unfavorably on applications where there have been card cancellations?

Don’t cancel before applying for the new card. If he’s not immediately approved, you can always offer to cancel the old card and move the credit line to the new card.
