best use of amex MR?

What is the best use of AMEX MR? I find the airline partners few and the points conversion stingy!

“Best” is a subjective term. “Best” to me may be topping off my Delta account so I can use miles instead of $600+ (in economy) to get to a small ski-town airport or to Cathay Pacific so I can try out their First Class. “Best” to you might be to transfer to Flying Blue to go to Paris in style.

Or it might be topping off an account at a crappy transfer rate that will give you the trip of a lifetime. So it all depends….

Im using my AMEX MR points for transfers to avios for short haul flights. Yeah the transfer rate is .80, but we also get double points for more things…so yeah its about the same.

Also, Im going to transfer my points to ANA or Aeroplan so I can take 6 people(my immediate family) to europe in coach.

You can then transfer them on to BA without losing too much value.
