I recently called to downgrade my card with Barclay. I don’t really use it and my thought was i can downgrade for Silver to red. When i called Barclay refused to do it. The said i needed an offer to do it, with no offer i could not. I was not pleased and complained and got 5K aa miles. Is this common practice? -

Tell them you’re [B]thinking [/B]about canceling the card due to the high annual fee, and ask if there are any offers instead, including downgrade offers.
