Should I get the Platinum from Amex or the Sapphire Reserve from Chase?

    Hi Israel,

With so little details, it will be nearly impossible to answer. What are you trying to achieve? Do you want to accumulate miles for traveling ? And if so, where do you live, what are your airlines of choice, etc…? Do you spend a lot on dining, or on plane tickets? Do you already have other Amex or Chase cards?

There is no one size fits all answer so you’d need to provide us with significantly more details to get a more personalized response. Hope it makes sense !

If United is your primary airline, you will want to go with Sapphire. Otherwise it depends on your spending. I have both and my favorite features are the 5x miles for air tickets from AMEX and the 3x travel (very broadly defined – includes subway rides and the garage in my apartment building) and dining with Chase.
