Amex application cancelation
Hi,
I’m not sure if it’s the right place to ask such a question here, but I’m sure one of you will be able to help
I’m new to credit cards and all this stuff, I’m still a student, and I’m trying to build my credit securely.
I opend my first cc over a year ago, and 2 weeks ago another. I have a great credit score (over 740) and every thing seemed ok.
Last week, I applied for an American express card, and this is where the problem begins.
I’m not lying on a cc application, well, it’s a felony, so I said the truth, I’m a student (which I can proof) and making 16k a year from a side job.
So now they need a 4506T form, to proof my income, I have 90 days to provide it.
Thing is, I just started working this January, so I never filed text return, and because I’m self employed, I don’t have any proof yet, and I won’t have in the next 90 days….
so, can anyone help?
Thanks in advance
Eli01
Could you provide a paystub?

No, because I’m still on training, one I’ll finish, they’ll see if I’m qualified.
Hmmm, maybe someone else can chime in with an idea. But, I’m not sure how to resolve.
As a student with $16k income, I’m not sure having 3 credit cards is the smartest option?
Maybe best to try again in 6-12 months?

Yeah, you’re probably right. I guess this is anyway the only option left
Do you have an offer letter or something else official where the terms of your employment are spelled out? You could also write up the explanation that you have provided here and see if that helps.
