AAdvantage Reduced Mileage Awards Post Devaluation

AAdvantage Reduced Mileage Awards Post Devaluation

As of 22-Mar-2016, MileSAAver awards on flights less than or equal to 500 miles will only cost 7500 miles each way.

Currently, in conjunction with their credit card partners, AAdvantage offers discounts on certain MileSAAver awards:

My question is, has there been any confirmation whether reduced mileage awards will be valid at the new MileSAAver redemption levels? Assuming I have a qualifying credit card, sub-500 mile flights at 7500 AAdvantage miles round trip, or 3750 miles each way, certainly would take some of the sting out of losing low level BA Avios redemptions.

Of course, this does assume there’s an available destination that’s worth flying to.

@Asarious if the routes are listed on the reduced mileage page, there shouldn’t be any reason why they are not honored.

Thanks for the quick response. That should make for some screaming deals.
