Hi Lucky,

My name is Ken, I have a question for you about buying airlines miles on promotion. The last post you mentioned was that AA is having a promotion on miles bought, would it be a good idea to buy these miles if I don’t reside in the US? Meaning, I won’t be travelling with AA much, rather on other One World carriers like CX or Qantas.
Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Regards,

Ken

It is a good promotion if you have a plan to use those miles very soon. In that case, check to see if the award space is there, call American to hold the award then buy the miles since the post instantly. Then call American to ticket.

I wouldnt buy it to hold on to for very long.
