    Ben, big fan of your blog. Wonder what is your experience with ex seat assignment and finding airline booking online.

    Here is my story: August 18 Via Aeroplan I booked 2 c class ticket IST-ICN (TK) – ICN-LAX (OZ) After phone Aeroplan I got the TK and OZ booking numbers.

    Two things I always do when I have the airline booking numbers:

    A: Check reservation on the airline online B: Make seat assignment via web or via phone call.

    A: Turkish

    Easy to find the booking via TK online B: After phone call to TK I was told seat assignment can be made 90 days before.

    A: Asiana It was not possible to find the reservation – even after sign up for membership I still was not able to find the booking (as I can find out only booking made via OZ reservation).

    I call the OZ USA NYC office and got confirm that the reservation is there and same time made a seat assignment. Was told that it is correct that only reservations made on their own web side can be seen by me. “If you give me your email and we send the mail with all details” – but this never happen. I phone again 10 days later (aug28) andwas told again they will send the mail if I give them the my mail address again. Here 4 days later I still haven’t seen anything from OZ. Very frustrating – I was happy when I found this route and was really looking forward to try ASIANA A388 Business class.

    What is your experience (advice) with these important stuff – As mention first time I can’t see my own booking and concerning the service (bad) ground. Do you think is is good idea to call other OZ office or?

    [USER=316]@Jorgen[/USER]/yyc — You’re not missing anything, sometimes you just have to call 🙁 If they can see the reservations and help with seat assignments then you’re fine.

    I Call OZ twice aug18 and aug28 and both they said they will send my reservation via email and strange nothing happen – it is first time I deal with this issue _ I can always find my reservation online – on my coming trip feb 2016 I have reservation with AS/CX/RJ and BA – can see all reservation online. Only BA troble is CANNOT make seat assignment and they cannot spell my name correct even I had call them several times My name is Jorgen but they keep spell gen jor – very strange too anyway that is another case right now just curious what is other people experience with ASIANA – hopely air service is better than on the ground.
