People keep saying all Qatar 777s, then someone asks about the ex Cathay 777s flying for Qatar, then someone says those aren't included. So all 777s except the ones that aren't. In other words, not all 777s.

Absolute best Wi-Fi of any airline. The Wi-Fi is literally faster than my home Wi-Fi. And it’s totally complimentary. I take the 16 hour Qatar Airways LAX to Doha every 3-4 weeks for the past 4 years and it never fails. Other airlines need to take note.

Ben what about the 777s from Cathay and Virgin Australia. Do those have Starlink? If not are there any plans to install it on those?

In October 2023, Qatar Airways made an exciting announcement when it comes to inflight Wi-Fi, as the oneworld carrier revealed it would introduce Starlink connectivity. In October 2024, we saw the first jet equipped with this service.

Flew on a 787-9 from HKT to DOH in Feb and the plane had starlink wifi. So not sure about this blog? Old news?

they've added a minor friction point - it's now only Qatar Privilege Members that can access. It used to be a non-gated free access for all passengers.
