In this post, I’d like to take a look at the carrier’s Mosaic elite status, and how the program works for 2026. This is especially worth doing since the airline has made some changes…

Ben, there is a quirk available on JetBlue that makes, for a small group of travelers, Mosaic 2+ a huge value. If you have that, you can book extra legroom seats for free. You mentioned that.

Added to the extra legroom, it’s easy to buy two seats on JetBlue, which can be done by literally checking a box. So, a Mosaic 2+ can make a “poor man’s first class” by buying two extra legroom seats for the cost of two normal coach seats. For taller people with broad shoulders, this is often a savings of $150-$500 over flying first on American to Miami.

To FLL, Spirit offers “first,” but not the legroom. So, JetBlue can be a very good value, albeit a super-quirky one.
