Respectfully, this is a flawed review. The fundamental premise is flawed. The right premise should be ‘what level of potential AC use would justify this card?’ AC membership is listed at $1200. Wow. If you travel one round trip a month, that is 12 AC visits per year max (presuming you fly direct and go straight home on your return). It would be borderline wild to stop there before every outbound and even more wild to value this at $100 per visit. Now a power user example. Let’s say you fly every week (so 52 visits per year). Now you are at about $25 per visit allocating that annual cost. Even that seems high to me. I struggle with the frequent traveler who thinks this is worth it. Surely a savy traveler limits time in the airport. I think the benefit of the lounge is (a) a backup plan for when flights go bad or (b) a place to park the family.

For non Hyatt bookings, I have made a killing with my globe card stacked with good AA hotel earnings. The 25% LP boost has made it even better too, but I hate that it only last 6 months after hitting 60K LPs.
