Boeing Avoids 737 MAX Crash Prosecution & "Felon" Label

The US Department of Justice has announced that it has reached a deal with Boeing, which will allow the aircraft manufacturer to avoid prosecution over two deadly 737 MAX 8 crashes, which ultimately claimed 346 lives.

@lucky - Did Boeing actually reduce its cost... they agree to pay ~$2B... "violated it". I am assuming it did not pay all of it... renegotiated to ~$1B for a net savings of $1B?

This decision paves the way for reinstating the corporate death penalty. Revoke Boeing's corporate charter. As well, this comes at a time of utter political corruption with the "Big, Beautiful Bill" approved with legalization of kits to render semi-automatic guns into machine guns, while silencers become a legal purchase with the "beautiful" bill. Just awaiting the toll at the ever-increasing mass shootings on the July 4th holidays. We won't even hear the shots as the silent machine gun scythe cuts down in swathes. America has become a ship of cruel and violent fools, and Boeing has been one of the captains of a captured American defense industry for too long. There can never be justice when there is no respect for humanity or lives lost to expedient profit.

"I’m not sure what to make of this agreement." It's an agreement with one of your biggest defense contractors who supply, offensive not defense weapons, including real WMDs. Boeing products have killed more humans than just the MAX. For those who love to talk about conflict in Ukraine... that's Boeing. For those who love to talk about conflict in Gaza... that's Boeing weapons there too. Real WMD payloads are riding on Boeing made ICBM. Ones that could instantly deliver at least 10,000x-15,000x Hiroshima combined.
