SeaTac Airport has been experiencing a ton of growth the past several years. That’s not only because Delta has turned the airport into a hub, but also as a result of continued growth from Alaska, and a lot of additional service from foreign carriers. As a result, the airport is desperately in need of more and bigger lounges.
A couple of years ago, Alaska Airlines only had one lounge in Seattle. Then in November 2015, Alaska opened a second lounge in Seattle, in the North Concourse. That temporarily alleviated some of the congestion, though now both lounges are again pretty consistently at capacity.

For a couple of years we’ve known that Alaska plans on opening another lounge at SeaTac, and it looks like that’s now closer to being a reality. Per View from the Wing, the new Alaska Lounge in the C Concourse of SeaTac Airport will be opening on June 30, 2017.
Below is a map that shows the location of the existing Alaska Lounges — just near the Central Terminal, and in the N Concourse — and then we can expect that the new Alaska Lounge will be located at the end of the C Concourse.
This is the location of the former American Admirals Club, which closed in 2005, so there hasn’t been a lounge in the space for over a decade.
My hope is that this helps alleviate congestion in the existing Alaska Lounges a bit. Keep in mind that while both Alaska Lounges are part of Priority Pass, there are often capacity constraints put in place, meaning that Priority Pass members are prevented from using the lounges. Furthermore, Priority Pass members aren’t allowed to bring any guests into these lounges.
As an alternative, those with Priority Pass memberships continue to have access to The Club at SEA, which has two locations. While perhaps not quite as nice as the Alaska Lounge, the lounges are typically fairly quiet.

Furthermore, those with The Platinum Card® from American Express and The Business Platinum Card® from American Express can use the Amex Centurion Lounge, which was recently expanded.

I’ll be curious to see if the new Alaska Lounge in the C Concourse is added to Priority Pass, and if so, how much it alleviates congestion in the existing lounges. I have plans to visit Seattle soon, so I hope to check it out.
I visited the lounge this morning prior to its opening. It's a beautiful space, with a serene design inspired by the Pacific Northwest, a water feature, high-backed chairs, outstanding runway views, and an upgraded food selection. There is even a full kitchen, though Alaska will stick with snacks in the foreseeable future.

Point of order: Sea-Tac is hyphenated when referring to SEA, but it's SeaTac when talking about the city. Think of the hyphen as a runway between the Sea and the Tac.

I think the Priority Pass "Club at SEA" lounges are actually a bit nicer. Better drink and snack selection. Quieter. Better business area. I do prefer the customer service at the Alaska Lounges, but I'd rather find a seat and a nice snack.
Meant to also say ..... It will be good for Alaska to add another Boardroom. I definitely hope to see it improve things in SeaTac. If nothing else, maybe it will help the Centurion Lounge. Plus the main Boardroom is ridiculous.
Last week, N lounge was not only closed to Priority Pass, but day passes issued by Alaska as well.
The new Delta SkyClub between A and B concourses is awesome. And never horribly crowded. It's a bit inconvenient when I'm flying out of S, but not horrible. And not a crowded disaster like the Centurion Lounge. Alaska Boardroom used to be a great place to escape, but is now just ridiculously crowded. S terminal, ironically, has the most lounge space ..... Delta, BA, Club at SEA .... with only 16 gates. Of course, it...
